Yas completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Steph Ball-Mitchell at the Yoga & Ayurveda Center. She is currently pursuing to complete 500 hours.
Specializing in Yin, her teachings aspire to nurture inner stillness and resilience in the face of oppressive colonial systems we live and participate in. In her “Kin Yin” sessions she invites her kin to question, challenge, and release the ways in which these systems show up in our own psyches and bodies limiting our trust and ambition to come back to ourselves and one another.

These sessions are accessible for all anti-colonial persons and bodies, usually held in open spaces in nature, offering a combination of meditation, breathing, yin asana, occasional circle singing, live music accompaniment and community picnic closing.
